The True Meaning of Mars and its Connection to Masculinity

So it’s clear that many people possess an extreme illiteracy in their understanding of masculinity. From a cosmic and astrological standpoint, it’s not just 1 thing; there are essentially 3 branches of it. It works the following progression —

Martial phase, Mercurial phase, Solar phase

Each phase has a polarity where the depraved or the exalted expression can be presented until you get to the Solar phase where everything is integrated. Most people in our current time are stuck in the Martial phase, hence why there’s such a battle. They battle amongst themselves, and others in the Mercurial phase, who have the knowledge and are trying to enlighten others. Most, (not all) in this stage vilify femininity.

The Solar stage on the other hand is a bit complex, but to sum it up: through the alchemy of the sun, this phase is a crystallization of the most exalted state of masculine energy. For example, masters like Jesus Christ, or Hermes were in this phase. Individuals like Hitler and maybe even to a much lesser extent someone like Elon Musk, are representative of the Martial phase. Today, we all have the potential to rise into this “Solar” phase or state, but it takes a lot of effort for obvious reasons. At the same time, it technically is easier than it was say 2000 years ago…Some people have a natural affinity and can slip into this phase easier, but because of the times we're in, it’s very problematic when they do. I mean look at Jesus, as it’s been said, he was inhumanely crucified. Kanye West who I think is right at the genesis of the Mercurial phase (which might still have some Martial phase embers), gets cancelled repeatedly and loses his billionaire status. In a recent tweet, Kanye West claimed that he lost $2 billion in one day due to the fallout from his “antisemitic” remarks.

Entering into the Solar phase of masculinity is also dangerous if done prematurely. One of the things it can bring about is an incontrollable ego or god complex. So, how do you enter into this stage prematurely? A sudden rise to fame or power usually are the culprits that precedes this but other things can be the catalyst as well. Your Lunar Nodes and Mars placements are the major indications of this. The North Node especially in a square will show you where you’ll cheat your spiritual progress, devaluing, exchanging, and ultimately bypassing spiritual law and order for your desires. I’m not sure if people are avoiding talking about this or they simply don’t have the knowledge but Mars can point to the fatal flaw of your Sun’s energy.

For example, my Mars is in Sagittarius. In general, something that could prevent me from reaching my Solar phase is my beliefs. Whether it be thinking I know it all or thinking I’m dumb. Because my sun is in Scorpio another flaw could perhaps be that everyone’s philosophy (or arrows) are mixed up and not in their respective quivers. This leads to distorting my arsenal and plutonic focus. Saggitarius tends to have an excess of optimism and overlooks things “seeing the bigger picture.” You can see Mars' lessons in showing me how this can also work against me if poorly executed. Imagine holding your bow and someone is up in your ear telling you “Well, I think the bullseye is a little bit to the left.” Then another person is like, “Uhm, I feel if you shoot for the moon, you’ll land amongst the stars.” Meanwhile, the entire time, you don’t know where exactly to shoot, but being a water sign you’ll just intuitively shoot over there. You could even sum up all these points to one great fatal flaw: precision paralysis.

You see, Mars is a step down of the Sun’s energy in your chart. Again, the “martial” masculine phase. A “step-down” here translates to a slightly lower concentration of light making it less “divine” or “perfect” for lack of a better term. To complete the analogy in my example, it’s ironically not about the bigger picture. It’s supposed to be about my picture or the “bullseye” represented by the subjectivity of Scorpio with the arrows of Sagittarius. Mars in contrast to the Sun, is the lowest form of masculine energy. As children of the cosmos, you can’t just shove all of the sun’s force into one body; It would literally obliterate the kiddies. But, it’s incredibly valuable in say, navigating the will of your sun and carrying out your mission in a physical world. Hence, the true astrological relevance of Mars.
